PEACE FOR PROFIT
A Documentary Film Series

Peace for Profit is an ongoing series of documentaries that explore the economics of peace. Peace for Profit, Israel/Palestine, is the first of a series of ten one-hour documentaries, produced by Leith Eaton Productions, that explores prosperity being wasted in areas of the world where hatred and conflict prevail. It is now ready to be premiered at the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences in Beverly Hills.

The first documentary was filmed with Larry King and Dame Leith Eaton in Israel and Palestine. Matt Cimber, a veteran documentary filmmaker, directed it. The film series reveals that better balancing of economics will lead to a more peaceful world in which all can live, work, play and feel safe. It is filled with actual footage of bomb scares having taken place during the shoot and rich interviews that show how much in despair the people are, and in contrast showing how beautiful and valuable the area is and how desolate it is as a result of the conflict. It points out how much better the economy would be if the conflict ceased to exist.

It shows that there are three religions and only one God and how a peaceful coexistence between the three religions could be possible and how much better everyone would be if it did exist. If all religions preferences could be satisfied with what it is that they hold in their heart, or a person within a religion could just speak with appreciation about what it is that they feel, without justifying what it is by pushing against others, then each religion, in all of its difference, could live peacefully. Additionally, the same could be said of political preferences. One can exhibit their freedom of choice without having to condemn another for having opposing views.

Purpose: The purpose of the documentaries is to convey the message of how peace can be profitable to individuals, groups, corporations, cities and countries. By presenting possible solutions to the human predicament where prosperity is being wasted, we hope to inspire the minds of the viewers, motivating them to work for peace in their own communities, in their own families and in themselves.

“There is no way to peace; peace is the way” wrote Richard Bach, author of the book "One" and the famous allegory, "Jonathon Livingston Seagull".  It is now time for people to understand that generating experiences of peace is possible; that peace itself is a force of goodness that can attract persons of many varied beliefs and backgrounds to experience a peaceful coexistence. Imagine world peace. What would that feel like? It is a vision of hope and triumph that gathers positive ideas on how peace can be profitable and takes action without judgment or condemnation. The ongoing series focuses on the big issues concerning government and also on the individual and the families where even the smallest efforts can bring about the greatest changes. There are many sources that are pointing out the problems with few focusing on peaceful solutions from the core of the problem and showing that everyone large and small is hurt in one way or another by hostility or by war. Peace for Profit is not anti anything; it is simply pro peace. Freedom cannot be obtained by pushing against one another.

Peace for Profit, India/Pakistan is planned to be shot next and we are also planning to do Peace for Profit, Cuba/US, Peace for Profit, China/Nepal and Peace for Profit, Africa in the series as well.

The worldwide distribution of the Peace for Profit series via television and internet are in final stages of negotiation. In addition to the series, the Foundation is now working on a proposed full length feature film of Peace for Profit.
